Suit and Sport Coats
Your suit size is your chest and height measurement added together. It should be measured in inches. Your height will determine whether you will need a ‘Short’(S), ‘Regular’(R), or ‘Long’(L). Your measurement on a suit chest is usually 2 inches larger than the actual suit size so as to give you room for movement. If you waist is bigger than your chest, use your waist size to determine suit size. We want your suit to fit you properly.
As the same with the ladies suits, you always want to fit your larger part of your body.
Chest Measurement:
Use a tape measure and place it under your arms completely around your body with your arms at your side. See the ladies size chart as well, this may help you in finding where to place the tape! Measure the larger part of your chest. This will determine the size of your chest and the size of the jacket you need.
Waist Measurement:
Take a tape measure and place around your waist where you like for your slacks to hit. Measure your nude waist for accuracy. Do not hold measuring tape tight; keep loose for comfort.
Slacks Inseam: Men suit slacks come, uncut or unhemmed, it is best to let a professtional determine the correct inseam and finish them accordingly. Some men perfer a cuff instead of a straight flat hem.
Remember is the jacket or slacks are too big, always have a professtional alter it up or down for you.
